Gil Harp Books is an independent publishing house specializing in children's picture books that have a STEM or cultural element woven into the story. We believe that children are natural born engineers who have unlimited imaginations. Our goal is to nurture their enthusiasm through our books and encourage them to never stop being curious about the world around them. Please direct inquiries to contact@gilharpbooks.com.
Javier Garay is passionate about unleashing the natural curiosity children possess. Born in Puerto Rico and raised in New Orleans, he grew up with a thirst for knowledge that led him to Harvard and The Wharton School. He left a 12-year career on Wall Street to start a business that taught STEM-focused programs to children ages 4 to 14. With The Blocks Books series, he is excited to share his love of learning and travel. When he’s not exploring the world, he is in Philadelphia conducting experiments and making a mess in the kitchen with his wife and three children.
The Blocks Save New York City is the third book in a series aimed at children in Kindergarten through 3rd grade. The books introduce fun engineering concepts through fast-paced and engaging storytelling. There is also a clever cultural element woven into each book that will have young readers eager to explore the world. Join Lloyd The Block on his adventures by visiting Lloyd's Blog.
